Stefania Bona is an Italian Cinematographer.
She began experimenting with still photography and printing at high school, later she attended at Fine Arts in Venice and KHS Weissensehe Berlin, developing her own artistic research in the field of Public Art, with some collaborations between Italy and Germany, and installations.
From 2004 to 2007 she worked at the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo, Contemporary Art Foundation in Turin as Art Mediator.
Her focus turns to cinema, particularly creative documentary and in 2010 she specialized in ‘Cinematography’ at the ZeLIG Film School, in Bozen IT.
From that moment on, she started her training working on fiction film productions as camera assistant.
As a director she directs the documentary “Gente dei Bagni”, 2014, in competition at several International Festivals, and awarded in the followings: RIFF in Rome, Festival of Trento, ViaEmiliadocFest, Mediterraneo Video Festival and the Human Rights Film Festival in Naples.
For several years now she is exclusively taking care the photography of Auteur Films and Documentaries,
that participate in various International and Italian Festivals as: Rotterdam, Dok Leipzig, IDFA, Vision du Rèel, Torino FF, Biografilm, Festival dei Popoli Florence, Bellaria FF, Filmmaker Film Festival,
that are visible on platforms as Netflix, RaiPlay, Produzionidalbasso,
and that are selected in Art Context as: MART Rovereto, PAC Milano, Museo del 900 Milano, Piedmont Pavillon – off section Venice Art Biennal 2019.
